Description
Questin, extracted from the seeds of *Cassia obtusifolia*, is a Cdc25B phosphatase inhibitor with an IC50 value of 34 µg/mL. It is a promising inhibitor of AChE, BChE, and BACE1. Questin strongly inhibits the growth of human colon cancer cells, SW620, with a GI50 value of 0.9 µg/mL. It exhibits significantly high immunosuppressive activity and has potential as a therapeutic or preventive agent for Alzheimer’s disease. However, Questin is toxic to the human A549 lung cell line.
