Description
Butylphthalide, an anti-cerebral-ischemia drug first isolated from the seeds of celery, has demonstrated efficacy in animal models of stroke. Butylphthalide alleviates oxidative stress induced by chronic cerebral ischemia, enhances cholinergic function, and inhibits amyloid beta accumulation, thereby improving cerebral neuronal injury and cognitive deficits.
