Description
Bavachin, a natural phytoestrogen extracted from the fruits of *Psoralea corylifolia L*, demonstrates potential in protecting cartilage from inflammation-mediated damage in osteoarthritis patients by inhibiting the IL-1β-induced activation of the IKK-IκBα-NF-κB signaling pathway. Bavachin also exhibits antioxidant, antimutagenic, and weak phytoestrogenic activities through its binding and activation of the estrogen receptor.
