Description
4-Methylumbelliferyl-β-D-Glucopyranoside (4-MUG) is a fluorogenic substrate for β-glucosidase and β-glucocerebrosidase. 4-Methylumbelliferyl-β-D-Glucopyranoside (4-MUG) is employed to detect β-glucosidases as an indicator of Enterococci and is also used in assessing β-glucocerebrosidase activity associated with Gaucher disease.
