Description
4-HQN is a poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitor with an IC50 value of 9.5 μM. 4-HQN demonstrates anti-ischemic activity, reduces reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and subsequently mitigates mitochondrial and cellular damage in rat hearts. Additionally, 4-HQN inhibits the activation of NF-κB and AP-1.
