Description
Catechin 7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, isolated from the seeds of Phaseolus calcaratus Roxburgh, demonstrated favorable effects on intestinal inflammatory diseases in a study involving trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (TNBS)-induced colitic rats. Oral treatment with catechin 7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (10 mg/kg body weight) suppressed body weight loss and mitigated intestinal inflammatory damage.
